.القصة تحكي عن عصابة مافيا تتكون من أب و ابن و سائق , توقعهم المشاكل مع دكتورة ماتت بين يديها مراهقة و هي تنجب طفلا , أحداث متماسكة , تأخذ الأنفاس, مثيرة , غامضة , متماسكة مرة أخرى ! ستيفن نايت يقدم لنا نصا سينمائيا جميلا , يملك شخصيات درست بعمق و تمعن , و لعل هذا كان أفضل ما قدمه الفيلم اجمالا , و بقمة تماسكها حتى بأشد المشاهد , واقعية و مجنونة و باردة , هذا ما ينعت بالواقعية في بناء الشخصيات , و بالجهة المساعدة الأخرى , التمثيل كان جيدا من غالب الطاقم , و كان ممتازا لفيجو مورتينسين ,  من لكنته الروسية-انجليزية المتقنه و النظرات الباردة و الشخصية القوية و اقناع المشاهد بما يقوم به

 و قد سافر فيجو لوحده لروسيا و عمل كسائق هناك و حاول التعامل مع الناس بلا مترجم بالاضافة لقرائته لبعض الكتب حول عصابات المجرمين في روسيا و حول أهمية الوشوم في السجون و غيرها , فيجو مورتينسن هو نجم الفيلم بالتأكيد , و لعل أهم ما يساعد السيناريو في جعل الفيلم كمعزوفة موسيقية , هي الموسيقى ذاتها , الملحن هوارد شور ( سيد الخواتم ) قام بعمل راقي و موسيقي كلاسيكية من الدرجة الأولى , ظهورها في المشاهد المناسبة و استخدام النوتات الصحيحة كل ذلك يصب في مصلحة الفيلم فنيا و يجعل هذا الجانب متخما أكثر مما فعلته كاميرا التصوير الرائعة , ايسترن بروميسيس فيلم رائع بلا شك , من خلاله سترى واحد من أغرب افلام العام , و واحد أفضل أدوار التمثيل هذا العام

في تحول مدهش , مصير طبيب إسكتلندي في مهمّة طبية أوغندية يصبحُ متشابكاً بشكل كبير مع إحدى شخصيات العالمِ الأكثر بربرية: عيدي أمين. الشخص الذي نصّب نفسه حديثاً رّئيساً عيدي أمين يعين غاريغان كطبيبه الشخصي ومستشاره الأقرب بعد إعجابه بموقفِ الدّكتورِ غاريغان البارد في لحظة أزمة . في باديء الأمر يغري غاريغان سَحرَ موقعِه الجديدِ، و لكنه يَصْحو على همجيةِ أمين وتواطئه الخاص فيه. الرعب والخيانة يَتْليانِ بينما يحاول غاريغان تصحيح أخطائِه والهرب من أوغندا حياً.

The story of the movie follows two heros till the point they meet at the end of the movie
Denzel Wshington as Frank Lucas who after the death of his employer and mentor establishes himself as the number one importer of heroin in the Harlem district of Manhattan and thats by coming up with a unique way of importing the drugs into the United States from Asia .
The other man is Russel Crow as Richie Roberts the dedicated and honest policeman who heads up a joint narcotics task force with the Federal government.Denzel Washington delivers a marvelous performance of a man calm and patient yet heart-stopping ferocious at some points, fearless and ambitious but likable as always. His performances are always incredible, he’s a great actor, the greatest afro-American actor of all time i dare to say, it’s simply a pleasure to watch him in any role.

Russell Crowe requested tape recordings of Richie Roberts speaking in order to match his voice mannerisms accurately.

While filming on-location in the Chiang Mai province of Thailand, Ridley Scott hired many extras from the local villages, some of whom were actual participants in the drug-running operation of Frank Lucas during the Vietnam War.

Russell Crowe and Brad Pitt were director Ridley Scott and producer Brian Grazer’s first two choices to portray Richie Roberts. Crowe was ultimately cast in the role.

According to Ridley Scott, this was one of the most grueling shoots of his career, logistically integrating 360 scenes over 180 separate locations.

و الرجل الثاني هو راسل كرو بدور ريتشي روبرتس رجل الشرطة المستقيم الذي يحاول البحث و الامساك برؤوس تجارة الهيروين في البلاد
الفيلم من أفضل أفلام العام
و استطاع المخرج و باتقان نقل المشاهد الى السبعينات بكل التفاصيل و الأجواء
أداء الممثلين كان مميزا جدا و حاز الفيلم على جوائز و ترشيحات عديدة
و منها ترشيحة لجائزة أفضل ممثلة دور ثاني ل روبي دي والدة فرانك لوكاس
و أفضل انجاز في فن الاخراج للعام

the movie is one of the coolest movies, the acting is amazing espically Casey Affleck, i have to admit he over ran his brother by many miles, he is soo good…not to forget also the amazing Brad Pitt…and his role in this movie as Jesse James. the one thing i couldnt understand is how come this movie were not nominated for any Oscar Prices in 2007.

An unforgettable trip into the mind of a man with no memory

A memory inside a memory, Memento is a complicated head spinning adventure. Award winning Guy Pearce plays Leonard, who is determined to avenge his wives murder. However, unable to remember anything that happens day-to-day due to a condition he sustained, short term memory loss, he has to write himself note after note that still don’t mean anything after he falls asleep. The film goes back in time to reveal each little bit of the puzzle as he tries to find out the person who killed his wife and makes the audience feel just as confused as he is. The narrative closely follows a phone call Pearce has in which he talks about Sammy Jankis a former client of his who he believed had the same condition. The film takes an unexpected twist as the two characters have a lot more in common than is initially put across. Nominated for 2 Oscars this film is a definite must see for anyone who enjoys a mystery.
