When 4 year old Amanda McCready disappears from her home and the police make little headway in solving the case, the girl’s aunt Beatrice McCready hires two private detectives Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro. As the case progresses, Kenzie and Gennaro face drug dealers, gangs and pedophiles. When they finally solve the case, they are faced with a moral dilemma that tears them apart

Anytime a movie can get you to pause and consider a moral dilemma (what would I have done?) while watching it definitely deserves a high mark in my book!! This movie showed the very raw, mean streets of Boston’s underbelly and didn’t sugar-coat anything. I liked that it was real and not made all pretty for film as in so many other films of late. I have/will recommend this movie to all my friends. Kudos to Casey Affleck, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. This was, so far, the best movie I’ve seen in 2007. I haven’t been impressed with Ben Affleck in front of the camera, but maybe he’s found his niche - behind the camera? Just go see it

بعد اختطاف أماندا ذات الأربع سنوات تتدخل خالتها و تستعين بمحققين خاصيين لحل القضية , يعترف المحققين و المرتبطين بعلاقة حب بأنهم ليسا أهلا ذو خيرة بهذا النوع من القضايا و لكن الخالة تصر و ذلك لسببين الأول أنهما ليسا من الشرطة و الثاني أنهما يعيشان في الحي ذاته و على علم بوحشية المكان و أسراره .و تبدأ رحلتهما للوصول الى المجرم و بعد حل القضية و اللغز يكتشفات انهما يوجهان معضلة أكبر و أخطر و التي ستفرقهما هم في نهاية المطاف.

الفيلم يستوقفك ليحرك بالنهاية في داخلك سؤال ( ماذا كنت لأفعل) حيث أن المشاهدين يواجهون معضلة أخلاقية تعتبر اهم ايجابيات الفيلم وذلك عدا عن نقله للواقع دون أي تجميل أو تغيير

خلال عملية التوصيل اليومي بين ساعي البريد و الشاعر المنعزل …..بتنشأ علاقة مهمة بين هالشخصتين المتناقضتين من حيث كمية المعرفة و الثقافة , بس الشي يلي رح يجمعهن اكيد هو الحس العالي المرهف بيناتهن …والعفوية بالشخصية يلي رح تساعد ساعي البريد على تعلم الشعر و تعلم امور تاينة رح تغير حياته بالكامل …..
والاهم من هيك انو الحس الشعري رح يساعده بشكل كبير ليفوز بقلب الانسانه يلي بيحبها ,
و متل ما علق احد المهتمين على الفلم انه لازم اي شخص عاش علاقة حب بحياته يشوف هالفلم..

مالينا هي اكيد اجمل امراة بالقرية بل قد تكون الامرأة الجميلة الوحيدة فيها
وهاد بيخليها حديث القرية كلها و مصدر الاشاعات و النميمة …غير معاناتها من حسد كل نساء القرية و محاولة كل الرجال النيل منها

و الامور رح تصير اسوء لما زوجها بيغادر للمشاركة بالحرب و بتضل مالينا مع والدها الهرم المدرس بهالقرية وحيدة
…
و الغريب بالقصة انو هالشاب اليافع هو الوحيد يلي بيفهم مالينا و بيقدر العمق الانساني لشخصيتها اكتر من كل سكان هالقرية
والفلم بيورجينا بصراحة كيف الحسد والحقد يمكن يدمرو اي انسان
الفلم اكتر من رائع …بتلعب فيه مونيكا بيلوتشي دور قليل الحوار بس بكتير براعة باداء الملامح و لغة الجسد …..
الفلم بعطي تسعة من عشرة و يمكن يكون انظلم
بفضل من الكل يحضروه باللهجة الايطاليه مع الترجمة المناسبة

The movie is soo real, and the story is so strong that every one of us can imagine that it is happening every second in our environment. Some negative aspects in this movie was the selection of the arabic actors who were not as good as expected and their arabic accents didnt match the places they come from in the movie, otherwise….i can give the movie 6.5/10 overall and 8/10 in reality.

the movie is one of the coolest movies, the acting is amazing espically Casey Affleck, i have to admit he over ran his brother by many miles, he is soo good…not to forget also the amazing Brad Pitt…and his role in this movie as Jesse James. the one thing i couldnt understand is how come this movie were not nominated for any Oscar Prices in 2007.
